A little piece of Lomo fashion action
Photo story

Quite some time ago the brother and I did a shoot for a line of clothing I sold through a little boutique. Most of the clothes worn in these photos have been sold already, but it was only recently that K had the Lomo version developed, and the magical (well, magical to me anyway) blending of light and chemicals turned out rather pretty so here they are:

(By the way, colours were not digitally altered; only tweaked slightly for contrast.)

This shoot was rather random. We traipsed around Little India finding interesting cul-de-sacs to shoot at, with almost anything and everything as our backdrops du jour. I have a leetle problem with planning shoots: I prefer the spontaneity and the joy of discovering something amazing through the lens unrehearsed and unscripted. (And, um, maybe I’m just a little bit lazy too.)

Of course these aren’t high fashion incarnations, mere puttering around, and spontaneity never really works out that well in real life (damn, you mean I need to pack foundation?…and where can she change?), but so far, the results have been good. All this thanks to K and SQ of course, all I did was do wave my arms around vaguely and ‘direct’: ‘Um, so just.. model!’  Ok, maybe not just that. I also tried to move my arms in a fan-like motion in order to generate some semblance of breeze to cool SQ off so the make-up would not just melt off her face 2 seconds after re-application.
