Some SPF, that is. I know, it can be a drag sometimes – when we’re rushing out of the door in the day, smearing on sunblock may not be on the top of our priority list.
So while we’re all for having fun in the sun this month, Tattler wants to take some time to remind you to take care of your body’s largest organ and give it the TLC it deserves!
After all, skin cancer is the 8th most common cancer afflicting women in Singapore. Luckily, we are less predisposed to getting skin cancer than our fairer, blue-eyed blonde hair Caucasian counterparts, but that’s no excuse for not caring about our skin. Sun damage causes signs of premature aging: wrinkles and age spots and all the things that seem so obscure when we are young and reckless will suddenly so real when we turn 40. And we will, one day. Even if we try not to think about it. In fact, skin starts to age in your late twenties – that’s when it begins to take longer to heal and repair itself from sun damage.
Thankfully, being female has it perks – because any occasion can become a fashion occasion. So, other than the requisite sunblock lotion, I’ve picked out some other options you can consider to protect yourself from the sun while looking utterly adorable too!
