A lace umbrella. I’m not even going to mask my total amusement when I saw a lady using one. What’s the deal? One, it won’t protect you from the harmful ultraviolet rays from the sun. Two, it won’t protect you from the rain either. Three, you’ll probably get a really funky looking tan if you were to sit under that brolly for a day in the park. Sure, the idea of lace is girly, delicate and beautiful. So yes, you might be able to carry it off if you are a blushing bride or if you are an actress for a Victorian period film. Basically, the clothes have to compliment the accessories. In this modern day and age, one might be able to pull it off if you were a Gothic Lolita, with a petticoat, the scalloped frill skirt and bows in your hair. But as for the lady I saw, with her casual shorts and sandals? Hell no.
