We know. We’ve heard your cries (we have very, very sharp hearing) – and we’re working very hard to make Tattler an even better, and more enjoyable reading experience for you.
As you know, Tattler is all about fashion, beauty and lifestyle, so from this month onwards, we’re going to have fixed columns and features you can look forward to every single month!
Firstly, we will be dazzling you with 2 spreads, one for fashion and one for beauty, each one an exploration of the month’s theme.
On top of that, we have:
A weekly Celebrity Fashion Face-Off segment where our writers wrestle with the very prickly problem of celebrities’ outfits – and give you our 2cents worth of whether we should be wearing those, just like them.
A fortnightly product review/recommendation for all you beauty junkies who buy over-the-counter products, and don’t want to trawl through pages and pages of forum chatter before finding the information you need. Laea, beauty aficionado, will tell you all you need to know about your cosmetic needs (probably short of plastic surgery, though)! Discuss with her, ask her questions: pick her brain on her make-up expertise!
The new Tattler Wardrobe Dept will be where each writer reveals the latest item we currently covet or are obsessed with and of course, our mainstay Daily/Spotted columns will still be here to tell you what we’ve seen, heard and want to amuse you with.
Also in the pipeline are opinion columns and more, so do watch this space!
September!
September marks the start of our eco-friendly theme at Tattler, and this probably needs no further explanation. By now, everyone must have heard of Al Gore and his documentary; heard the spiel of celebrities and politicians alike who harangue us to save the earth, to cut down on emissions, to recycle paper, to take showers not baths, to go naked and return to the wild…the works.
I’m guessing most of y’all must be sick of hearing it already. So we aren’t going to preach, patronise or tell you to carry those environmentally friendly bags popularised by Anya Hindmarch way back in the day. (P.S. Now there’s some kinda issue regarding the fact that people actually have to come up with new material to make those bags anyway – so, eco bags made of recycled gunny rice sacks, anyone?). Saving the earth is important – we’ve long ago established that fact (shoo, conspiracy theorists!). So we’re just going to show you simple ways how – little baby steps that won’t hurt, and can even make you look really good too!
friendly thoughts,
Tattler Team
